1. Five miniature malt whiskies from Douglas Laing's 'Remarkable Regional Malts' collection. Douglas Laing are a highly regarded family-owned Scotch whisky business who have been blending and bottling whisky since 1948.
The set of five single malt whiskies from across Scotland's malt whisky regions are:
- Speyside - Scallywag 46%
- Highland - Timorous Beastie 46.8%
- Lowland - The Epicurean 46.2%
- Islay - Big Peat 46%
- Campbeltown - The Gauldrons 46.2%
Re-bottled at our facility in Scotland, each whisky comes in a generous 30ml measure (i.e. 150ml of malt whisky in total). As such, it’s the perfect whisky tasting kit to conduct a tasting experience from your own home – with plenty of spirit to sample each one and pick out your favourite.
2. Whisky tasting cards
In addition, you will receive a series of tasting cards. These provide expert insight into the malts in the whisky tasting gift set, with facts about the dram, its flavour, cask type, strength and much more. Not only are these educational, they can be used to track down an original bottle and – presented in a special branded envelope – they’re a lovely keepsake.
3. Whisky tasting mat

How long will it take to arrive?
Providing excellent customer service is important to us – here at Whisky Tasting Company. Which is why, we always strive to offer a quick turnaround on orders.
The product doesn’t take long for us to put together. And even if you choose to personalise the gift box, we’ll get to work straight away and dispatch your order as soon as possible.
Delivery is typically made within 2-3 days (Monday – Saturday). But if you need your item urgently, we usually offer express delivery otherwise it’s worth giving us a call. In some circumstances, we may be able to arrange a next day service.
It’s also worth pointing out that, unfortunately, we’re unable to schedule or delay our deliveries. If you’d like the recipient to open their set on a specific day, the best option is to add a note to your order during checkout. This will be printed and sent out with the order for the recipient to read.

What is blended malt whisky?
Blended malt is deemed an ‘orchestra’ of whisky of Scotland, it is a marriage of single malts taken from more than one distillery...but importantly it doesn't contain any 'grain' whisky. An important distinction between blended malt and blended whisky is that the former only contains malt whiskies, whereas the latter (blended whisky) contains grain whisky which is a less expensive, lighter, spirit that acts as a base to carry the more premium malt whisky flavours.
Malt whisky refers to the fact that it is usually made using malted barley and it must always be made in batches. This barley can be sourced from anywhere and is responsible for giving malts – including those in our Remarkable Regional Malt whisky gift set – such a diverse range of rich flavours.
