About The Single Malts
Tomintoul Glenlivet aged 10 years
'The gentle dram' is from Speyside, known for sweet and smooth Scottish single malts. Tomintoul Glenlivet has citrus and toffee tones with a hint of raisins. On the tongue the malt is creamy with sweetness balanced by gentle oak spice.
Isle of Arran aged 10 years
Arran 10 year old is one of Scotland's best 10 year old whiskies and is a rich single malt that is full of flavour. The malt has aromas of citrus fruits, with a palate of rich vanilla sweetness that gives way to a touch of cinnamon with a pleasant spicy edge and a soft and sweet texture. All this with the background of sweet oak.
Glasgow 1770 - The Original
A fresh and fruity single malt from the Glasgow Distillery Company – Glasgow’s first new independent whisky distillery in over 100 years.
Glasgow 1770 has aromas of dried dark fruits with tropical undertones, followed by hints of biscuit, oak and freshly cut grass.
On the palate it delivers sweet butterscotch and crème brûlée with hints of freshly sliced pear, dried figs, dates and raisin with sweet almond, honey & creamy shortbread.
The Ileach Cask Strength
(Please only choose this whisky if you are sure of the recipient's taste for Islay or peaty whiskies)
A full cask strength single malt from the isle of Islay that is very heavily peated.
TASTING NOTES (from The Whisky Bible - scoring 97/100):
Nose: A thick chunk of peat has been dissolved in my glass!
Taste: The oil–peat-barley balance is spot on as is the bitter sweet tone: just stunning.
Finish: The peat dissipates slowly to leave a slightly bitter and oaky influence but the spices compensate.
