ABOUT THE DISTILLERY
Port Dundas was closed in 2010 after 200 years of whisky production in Glasgow. At the same time as the closure, a nearby cooperage which made Hogshead oak casks since 1770 was also closed.
Port Dundas was a merger of two searate distilleries on the same site and, whilst a large distillery with a production of almost 40 million litres of spirit per year, most production was used for blended whisky and single grain varieties of Port Dundas are uncommon.
